She's talking so much now--demanding me to "do it" when she wants something, saying "coffee," "puter" (computer), "fast," "flying," and on and on. When I have a chance I'm going to write a longer post and try to document everything funny that she's saying now!

Pottyhead
The other night Samantha went into the bathroom and shut the door. A minute later I went to see what she was up to, and found her carrying her balloon with the potty insert on her head. Ummm....OK, sweetheart, whatever works. By the way, she's never actually pottied in that potty, so no yuckies.

Playground Olympics
The crowd falls silent as Sam readies herself for her world-famous Slide Plunge.
The crowd goes wild as Sam breaks away from the pack in the 10-yard dash! She's all alone up front and is poised to take her first title!
This is the first year that Swinging was allowed as a sport in the Playground Olympics. Look at her natural swinging form! Uh oh, points deducted as her head turns to check out a doggie.
Knowing that the dog distraction has cost her the Swinging event, Sam collapses in frustration. Her All-Around title may be in jeopardy!

Grosstopia
Last weekend while Daddy was out of town, I took Sam to a place close by called Funtopia. It was a little run down, but she was able to burn off some energy since it rained all weekend. I was disturbed by the girl--who was old enough to know better--who walked right up to our table and stole some french fries. I was also unhappy about the fourteen-year-old playing in the toddler area. He was very clearly special needs, perhaps autistic, but he was just too big to be playing in the same place as two-year-olds. I felt for him, but I also didn't want him flailing around and landing on Sam.
It was OK. Certainly good enough if there is no other alternative, but I can't exactly write a glowing review.
Here's Sam on one of the cars the little kids can "ride." She loved them! Every time one finished she would point at another and say "that one." Sorry for the picture quality--several of the photos I've posted recently have come from my phone camera because I don't like taking the good camera everywhere, especially when I am playing with Sam.
P.S. I had three people tell me how cute my little boy is. I guess I won't put her in brown pants in public again. Sheesh.

BUS!
Yesterday afternoon was relatively nice. It's been raining for days, but we did get a break. So I decided to leave the car near Mayra's house and take Sam on the BUS to get home! We took two buses, actually. We just missed the first bus because Sam was dinking around as we were walking to the stop, so I told her she had to wait. She was a VERY good girl, standing on the sidewalk and looking at trains, buses, cars, and trucks. She even saw a police car, and the nice policewoman rolled down the window and waved!
When we got off the bus, she waved and said "bye bye, bus!" Awwwww. It's so nice to be able to do something so simple that makes her SO happy!
Here she is, sitting patiently at bus stop #2. :-)

Let's Go Mets!
It's a little hard to read, but this is Sam's pink Mets "cheerleading" outfit. She seems to get a kick out of baseball, which is good news!
New words are coming every day. She has asked for apple juice, she's told me to "stop" when I do something she doesn't like (like count when she's not in the mood for counting), and sometimes when she sees a car, she yells "vroom vroom!"

Sacked Out
**updated to fix egregious grammatical and spelling errors** (Yikes!)
Sam is less willing to fall asleep on my lap lately. She usually asks to sit by herself or lay down on the couch, or, the past couple of days, she has suddenly said "night night" and Marc or I put her in her crib. Sniff, I'm going to miss her falling asleep on me at night. It's so peaceful!
The blankets in the picture are her favorites. If she could carry them around all day, she would, but I don't let her take them out of the house unless we're going to be gone at her bed time. The light green one is handmade by Aunt Elyce and the blue one is handmade by my Aunt Marilyn. Gorgeous, aren't they?
