The Last of Them!
Sam and her cousin Damien!
Sam and the bride! Isn't she gorgeous?
Sam shakes it on the dance floor with Mommy. She had a GREAT time dancing and it was hilarious!
Sam in front of the fountain that inspired this weekend's fish purchase. She loved the "niiiice feesh."

Even More Samentine
I have one or two more wedding posts after this one--then I must whip out the camera again!
Sam and Papa with her new bear--it plays "Wild Thing" over and over. And over and over....
Granny and Sam!
Mommy's friend Mike and Sam...Marc spent a lot of time getting pictures of everyone with Sam, and I'm glad he did!
Sam with her second cousin and her two first cousins once removed ;-). I think we'll just stick with "cousin" and "aunts" even if it's not technically correct!

Our Little Samentine
We had a wonderful time at Uncle Mark and Aunt Sjonna's wedding! Sam was a very good little girl. She did have a meltdown Friday night as she hadn't had a nap, and Daddy graciously left the rehearsal dinner to get her to bed. Sam found lots of new things to like, including "nice fishies" at the hotel! She said a bunch of new words, including "more," "nice," "fish," and "bath." She and I both slept for hours yesterday, in between errands and unpacking and laundry.
Here are a couple of pics, more to come!
Sam at the reception--she ate lots of Granny's carrots, some chicken fingers and french fries.
A somewhat frightening self-portrait taken by Daddy.
The family before the wedding.
I wish this picture wasn't so blurry--but I wanted to show off her entire cute outfit!
Cousins Kristin and Jason with their new addition, Gavin!

Little Taste of Spring
I can't wait until the weather gets warmer. It was in the 50s on Sunday so we took Sam to the park to let her burn off some energy. She had a great time--she always has a great time when she's allowed to run around.
The joy of the swing was fleeting, because all she wants to do is walk, which she lets us know by yelling "Wa! Wa!" constantly.
Another humiliating picture--I'm collecting them for future torture--this was taken after Sam slipped and fell on the little bridge.
On the bridge...
She's learning how to master stairs by herself!
Nothing is better than a slide! She loves it and is proud when she does it by herself.

Doggie! WOOF!
Here is Sam with Travis, a big old friendly dog. Travis lives with Craig, Elyce's boyfriend. They had us over for dinner a couple of weeks ago, and Sam made a new friend!
Niiiiice doggie...
Sam laughs as Aunt Elyce plays fetch with Travis...
Ack! Attack dog! Attack dog!
Chillin'...
Trying to get close enough for a ride!

Last of the Playplace Pics--Finally!!!

Here's One...
I managed to get Blogger to upload one picture this morning...enjoy! This is Sam climbing up the "steps" on the way to the slide when we were at the kids' playplace.
We had a small incident at the store last night. I stopped with Sam to pick up a few things, and on the way to the checkout I saw a big box of Cheerios on sale, which is something I forgot we needed. I let Sam hold it (she takes everything I'm going to buy and puts it in the cart for me). Suddenly, she said "Dora!" I thought "uh oh" and sure enough, Dora was on the back of the box. So when I took it from her to put it on the checkout belt, she screamed absolute bloody murder and everyone stared at us. Sigh.

Tried to Post Today...
But the computer wasn't having any of it. I wanted to post Tunnel of Love, Part III (final!). I'll save it for tomorrow and I must take some new pictures soon. We were home with her all weekend and the camera never made it out.
I was home with Sam yesterday because the sitter was sick. Last night, I went and met a woman to be a backup babysitter and I really liked her. She charges the same rate as Mayra, and she's less than a 10 minute drive from here, and perfectly willing to work last-minute as she is a stay at home mom. That's a load off of my back!
It was cute when we went to her apartment last night--they have a cat, and Sam kept chasing after him yelling "Meow Meow!" The backup sitter has a 5 year old and a 16 month old, they were both very sweet kids. Mayra might have jury duty in a couple of weeks, so we can use her then, and Mayra is also taking a vaction in April so we'll send Sam to the backup. It's a relief to be able to preserve our vacation days so we can actually, you know, take a vacation later in the year! I don't think I've had a week off straight since we went to Hawaii three years ago. Unless you count maternity leave, and that's hardly vacation.
