Fine Dining

We took Sam to a very nice restaurant on Christmas night. She was a good girl--luckily!--and we had a nice time. Unfortunately when we got home it took us well over an hour to get her down. I think she was too wound up and she kept freaking out--every time she fell asleep we would put her in her crib, she would wake up and start screaming. It was an annoying end to a very nice day. But her cuteness makes up for it, this time anyway!

She Works Hard for Her Money

Samantha visited Daddy's office for fun, games, and hard work last week. Here she plays "Queen of the World" with Manhattan skyscrapers in the background while munching on a Nutrigrain bar. Businesswomen are too busy to go out for a real lunch!
Sam calculates...batting averages, or something. She's already memorized all 210 DMAs on the map behind her.
Something doesn't look right in her calculations so she furrows her brow and tries to figure out the error.
After visiting Daddy's office, Sam comes to Mommy's office and helps with end of the year contracts. Thanks Sam!
Inspired by rows of cubicles and middle management, Sam bones up on her business knowledge so she, too, can someday have a career working for The Man.

Sleigh Bells Ring

First of all, Samantha would like to give a hearty welcome to her brand-new second cousin, Gavin Peter! We can't wait to meet you!!!

We celebrated Hanukah in Connecticut this weekend. Sam and her cousins went sledding. It was Sam's first time in a sled and she LOVED it. We literally dragged her up the hill and let go, so she was on her own (albeit strapped in). And her aunt and uncle gave us the baby sled--so now our mission is to find a place close by for safe sledding!

Off Her Rocker

Here is Sam sitting in a chair perfectly sized for her little self. This chair was our friend Lynn's when she was a little girl, and she generously picked it up from her parents' house before Sam, Karen and me came to visit last weekend.

So here are a few more from T-day. Hanukah is being celebrated Saturday and we are bound to get a bunch of good ones then! Plus Sam is visiting Mommy and Daddy at their workplaces on Friday!

Time to Hose Her Down

Mommy went to her friend Lynn's for a lovely dinner Saturday with her friend Karen. When it came time for dessert, we had a repeat of the cake episode from Thanksgiving. Only this was worse--the frosting ended up all over, in her hair, her clothes, under her fingers. But YUM it was worth it!

Turning Her World Upside Down

It's easy when they only weigh 20 pounds. :-)

Mommy is off to New Orleans for the weekend so there won't be another post until Tuesday, unless Daddy decides to figure out how to do it. I will miss Daddy and baby!
