When we changed Sam into her jammies tonight, she cried for her black shoes which she just started wearing on a regular basis. We couldn't figure out what she was saying until I realized she wanted her "tap dancing" shoes! I have no idea where she learned this...

Happy Halloween!

Daddy was in Philly for the World Series this weekend, so Sam and I did trick-or-treating solo (only fair, Daddy did it solo last year). We went to the stores on a nearby street, where we got a lot of "she's so cute!" (yes, yes she is). It started to sprinkle so we met Chris and his parents in the building where we did a little more trick or treating. I haven't given Sam any candy since Saturday because she was turning into a little candy monster. She particularly likes lollipops and constantly begs for them.

And she clearly doesn't get the concept--this morning she woke up and first thing told me she wanted to be a lion and go get candy. Next year, sweetie. :-)

OMG, has it been nine days?

I'm really falling off of the blog train here. It's just been busy at work,and compounded by the fact that our Mac blew up and we don't have the pics reloaded onto the machine yet, so I don't have much to share.

I just uploaded a pic to my Facebook account so I could download it here. Ain't technology grand? This is from Sunday, it was gorgeous so we took Sam to Central Park so she could play in the leaves.


Oh gosh, this came out kind of small...hopefully we'll get everything loaded tonight so I can do better pictures.

Look at my brave little girl! We had a mom's group party on Sunday. It was our annual party, so we take the leftover dues money and do something fun with it. This time we were hosted at Kavita and Vimy's house (Vimy has been featured in the blog before), and we hired someone from the Alley Pond Environmental Center to bring animals for the kids. We saw a box turtle, a bunny, a bearded dragon, a worm, and this here is Big Charlie the Snake.

Sam was so funny! During the presentation she kept leaping up from her chair, pumping her fist in the air, and yelling "Yeah!" (watching too much sports with Daddy, darling?) And she wanted to be first in line to pet the animals!

Naked Cowgirl

She loves this hat...we bought it in Lake George. I saw an adult hat and put it on her, and she said "too big!" Then I spied the kid hat. I put it on her head and she said "Yay haw!" Hahahaha...I just had to buy it. She loves her hat and even wore it to Mayra's yesterday.

This picture was taken when I was starting to get her ready for her bath. I took her shirt off, she ran away and grabbed the hat and put it on. Too funny!

My apologies, I've been really lax about the blog lately. I'll try to be a little better. :-) This is a pic from our trip. One of the days we absolutely wore her out and she was passed out on the couch before 7:30! Note the cute panda jammies--we went a little nuts at the Carter's outlet and bought her a bunch of fall clothes, plus a nice winter jacket and snow pants! Oh.....and we also got her Halloween costume!

Lake George--Part I of Several

Mommy and Sam on a boat at our resort. She hasn't decided if she likes boating or not--I think the rocking back and forth freaked her out.

Dining in style! Lake George had restaurant week so we found a place with the $17 3-course offer. The food was middling, but decent enough.

Our Little Weirdo

Every toddler sits in her highchair to eat chicken nuggets accompanied by a twirly Mickey Mouse toy, sunglasses, and a hairbrush.

New Jammies

We're having to buy all new clothes, of course, as the weather changes and Sam gets at least slightly bigger. I was shopping the sale at The Children's Place and saw these jammies. Only the hearts were showing through the plastic package so I had no idea they were all stripey, too!
